"Sunflower (AP Edition)" is a photobook by Daido Moriyama, one of Japan's leading photographers. After working as an assistant to Takeji Iwamiya and then as an assistant to Eikoh Hosoe, he became a freelancer. He began publishing his work in the mid-1960s and has since published numerous photobooks. Works such as "Nippon Gekijo Shashincho," "Shashin yo Sayonara," "Karyudo," "Kagero," and "Hikari to Kage" are still considered masterpieces today. His works, characterized by high-contrast, impactful monochrome images, abstract expressions using blur and out-of-focus shots, an air of eroticism, and a deep sense of humanity, are so original that they are instantly recognizable as Daido Moriyama's. This book is a collection of works from MMM (the initials M of Daido Moriyama, Satoru Machiguchi, and Hisako Motoo), a label run by Satoru Machiguchi, the head of Match & Company, and is edited with "flowers" as its motif. It evokes works such as Joel Meyerowith's "Wild Flower" and Robert Frank's "Flower Is." Edited by Hisako Motono. Limited edition of 1000 copies. AP Edition.
