This book is a collection of works "A Retrospective" published on the occasion of the major retrospective exhibition of Daido Moriyama, a Japanese photographer representing the 20th century. Curated by Thyago Nogueira of IMS (Instituto Moreira Salles) in Brazil, the exhibition toured from São Paulo to Berlin, London, Vienna and Lausanne. From early works such as "Nippon Theater" in the 1960s and images depicting towns under American occupation influenced by Shomei Tomatsu, to early masterpieces such as "Photo Goodbye" and "Hunter", and after a slump and a revival.
