This book is a collection of works by Japanese painter Teppei Takeda's "Paintings of Painting" series. Born in 1978. After graduating from Musashino Art University, worked at Makoto Saito Design Room. After that, I decided to become a painter, and in 2005 I set up an atelier in my parents' house in Yamagata, where I continued to paint. For three years from 2013 to 2016, he continued to draw pictures of this work in his own atelier. I contacted him and asked him to come see my work. This was the impetus for holding a solo exhibition at an alternative space in Yamagata, and the work that was posted on social media afterward received a great response from people involved in the arts both in Japan and overseas. The design of this book is Fabien Baron, an art director in New York who has worked on campaigns for CALVIN KLEIN, Christian Dior, ZARA for many years. He also liked Takeda's work, and finished it in a book that pursued perfectionism along with his own aesthetics. The cover is specially made to be wrapped in a full-size poster so that you can experience Takeda's production process realistically.
