"Camera Mainichi Junior" was published as a separate volume of the photo magazine "Camera Mainichi" that made a great contribution to the prosperity of Japanese photography after the war. Camera Mainichi is said to be at its peak around 70 years, from young photographers such as Yoshihiro Tachiki and Nobunobu Shinoyama to members of VIVO such as Ikko Narahara, Akira Sato and Shomei Tomatsu, and Daido Moriyama. Yutaka Takanashi and other Provoke people were supported by photographers who enthusiastically create new works that are not bound by traditional documents and the concept of journalism. And it was Shoji Yamagishi, who was the actual editor-in-chief of this magazine, who discovered them and actively tried to introduce them in the magazine. This issue was published as a separate volume of the December 1970 issue as a new attempt targeting the "junior class", and the cover is Julie (Kenji Sawada) photographed by Kishin Shinoyama. In addition, Hajime Sawatari's "Angels in the Finder" and illustrations of Lartigue are recorded, and texts by Kiyoji Otsuji and Shozo Kitadai are also posted.
