A collection of works by Shigeichi Nagano (1925-2019), one of Japan's leading photographers, "Distant Gaze". After working as a staff member of "Iwanami Photo Library" under Natori Yonosuke, he worked as a staff member for about 60 books and became free. . Although he established himself as a photojournalist, he later shifted his focus to the commercial world of movies and TV commercials, and his work was less public. However, in the 1980s, he began wandering around the city of Tokyo with his camera again, and photographed the serious and humorous patterns unique to urban space. The series was published as a collection of works, "Distant Gaze" (1992), and was awarded the 11th Ina Nobuo Award. This book is a revised and augmented version of the first edition, and new works that have not been included in the 1992 edition have been newly added, and this book was edited by Michitaka Ota of the Azure House.
