"Nude (Softcover)" is a photo collection by Kishin Shinoyama, one of Japan's leading photographers. Having studied "photographic techniques" at Nihon University College of Art's School of Photography and "the nature of photography" at the night school Tokyo College of Photography, Shinoyama worked as a member of the photography club at the prestigious Light Publicity Co. while still a student, and worked in the commercial world. After going freelance in the late 1960s, he stripped top models of the time, including Kazuko Matsuda and singer Akihiro Maruyama, earning him the nickname "the stripper," drawing media attention. While his work continues to this day, this book is a tabloid collection of Shinoyama's nude works, documenting nudes and capturing the sculptural beauty of the naked body since he went freelance. Edited by Shoji Yamagishi, the book's design and layout are by Iwao Hosoya.
