Lichtbilder Die Polaroids is a photo book by Soviet film director Andrey Tarkovsky. It is the German version of the collection of works published in English as Instant Light Tarkovsky Polaroids. Tarkovsky produced masterpieces such as Solaris, The Mirror, and Nostalgia, despite his few works, against the backdrop of Soviet artistic culture and profound spiritualism. The world view created by Tarkovsky is so original that it is no wonder that there are many enthusiastic fans who are fascinated by the lyric and artistic stories and the beauty of the images. Even Akira Kurosawa, a Japanese film director with whom he was close, commented that "Tarkovsky's sensibility is too sharp." This book is composed of illustrations taken by Tarkovsky with a Polaroid camera in Russia and Italy between 1979 and 1984. A number of dazzlingly beautiful and melancholy works. Edited by Italian photographer Giovanni Chiaramonte, who was a close friend of Luigi Ghiri and co-founded the publishing company. Published in 2004, German edition, hardcover.
