"Taratene (Signed)" is a collection of works by one of Japan's leading contemporary photographers, Daisuke Yokota. In the 1960s and 1970s after the war, Tomatsu Shomei, Daido Moriyama, Takuma Nakahira and others protested against traditional realism photography, creating and directing new works. Their ideas were realized through their activities in "Provoke", Moriyama's "Goodbye Photography" and Nakahira's "For the Words to Come". Although their styles are somewhat different, Daisuke Yokota, like them, continues to pursue his own originality and the possibilities of photography with new styles and expressions. Through regular self-publishing, he continues to create "quantity" of works every year while also improving the "quality". This book was published in 2015 and can be called a relatively early work, and was published by Session Press in New York. It is composed of images of a road trip in Aomori and a woman photographed in a hotel room, but it is a work that is somewhat reminiscent of Moriyama, Nakahira and others. However, the individuality of the processing and printing through the randomness of the images is unique to Yokota, and among Yokota's works, this is a book that somehow feels unusual and human. Limited to 500 copies. Signed by the photographer .
