"China 85/07" is a collection of works by Dutch photographer Koen Wessing. Born in 1942 to parents who were a sculptor and an interior designer, at the age of 15 he had a fateful encounter with photographers Ed Van Der Elsken and Ata Kando, who were married at the time, and was mentored by Ata. He later served as Elsken's assistant, during which he also printed the dummy book for the famous book "Sweet Life". Basically, as a photojournalist, he has published works through coverage of wars and conflicts around the world, as well as underdeveloped countries. "Chili September 1973", which depicts Pinochet's coup in Chile in 1973, was introduced in "The Photobook: A History Volume 1" and was so highly acclaimed that it was published in book form by Books on Books. This book is a collection of images of China that he visited a total of four times in the 1980s and 2000s.
