"Last year's photo (Unopened)" is a collection of photographs by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers. Influenced by his father, who was a clog maker and an amateur photographer, he started photography. In addition to his work (advertising photography), Araki explored a new photographic art using the company's equipment. He has published photo books and has successfully held large-scale solo exhibitions both in Japan and overseas. This book is a collection of unpublished works taken by Araki from 1975 to 1976, compiled by FAPA (Japan Photographic Art Association). After quitting Dentsu, Araki shot a lot of Tokyo in the early 1970s, as shown in "Tokyo is Autumn" and "After the War", but in this book he also shoots in Shinjuku, Ginza, and Minowa, Adachi-ku, where he was born and raised. Everyday scenes of the time, such as streets, hustle and bustle, and subways, are included. As with "Ai no Gekijyo", the photographic paper box that contained the prints was used as is for the cover design. Limited Edition. Limited edition of 500 copies. Brand new unopened.
