"Shadows of Wormwood" is a collection of works by Arthur Bonder, a photographer from Ukraine and currently based in Moscow. This is a collection of works published in 2016, 30 years after the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident. Bonder, who was three years old at the time of the accident, had the Chernobyl problem throughout his life. Over the course of nearly eight years, Bonder traveled and photographed within a 30km radius of the restricted area. The black-and-white illustrations are almost uninhabited, and there is a kind of mysterious atmosphere filled with pain and sorrow. In addition, by interweaving personal archives collected from the site and moving back and forth between the shadowy past and the eerie present, we emphasize the biggest mistake of humankind.
