Japanese photographer Hidemi Okada's photo book "With Postcard". Born in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture in 1949, after graduating from Osaka Photography College in 1971, stayed in Okinawa for about half a year with his family. It is a photographer who passed away. The history of his life and his death in his thirties is reminiscent of the legendary photographer Gocho Shigeo, but the photographs he left behind also make us feel the same scent. This book is a collection of photographs taken when Hidemi Okada took his wife and stayed from April to October 1972, before and after returning to Okinawa. It seems to be similar to the so-called compola photography, including casual everyday life, an appropriate sense of distance from the subject, a soft and restrained claim, a delicate depiction of the photographer's emotions, and the selection of the subject. It may have been the charm of photographer Hidemi Okada that he is a traveler and a'Yamato person', but does not feel a sense of outsider. Postcard included.
