Photographer Nobuyoshi Araki has been active since the 1960s and continues to produce work even now, at over 77 years old. This book, "Fake Diary of a High School Girl," is a live documentary that follows Araki on the set of Nikkatsu Roman Porno, Araki's first foray into film directing. It is divided into two chapters: "Pre-Director's Diary," which begins with the director's request, and "Film Director's First Live Experience," which documents the seven days from the start of filming to its completion. Along with detailed text describing the shooting of each scene, the book is interspersed with images taken by Araki's assistants, still photographers Nobuhiko Anzai and Kazuki Setoyama, who accompanied him, and musician Ryudo Uzaki (Araki asked Uzaki, whom he happened to meet in town, to take stills). "This book is a live book that conveys the details of the shoot, and a documentary of Araki's first experience as a film director. Here is the full picture of the Ararchism that was inserted into the film" (from the obi). However, this book is missing the obi. (The cover has water stains, but the book itself is in good condition.)
