A collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers after the war, "Umegaoka Elegy". After parting with Yoko in 1990, I photographed not only private documentaries and nude eros by Suei combination, but also many flower still life and sky landscapes. As a result, many works have been published. Since 2000, I have been struck by several illnesses and felt close to death, so there are many depictions of Araki's view of life and death, including more Thanatos-like elements. In recent years, I have come to see many works taken in and around my home, but this is composed of illustrations taken in Umegaoka, where I currently live, and it is May, which is Araki's birthday. This is a large-format photo book published on the occasion of the exhibition held at Taka Ishii Gallery from 25th (2019).
