A collection of works by Japanese photographer Takahiro Nakayama “Shodoshima” Rural Kabuki Photobook. Takahiro Nakayama, known for his work “Kamagasaki Ensha”, published in collaboration with the poet Osamu Tojo in 1978. After graduating from high school, after working as an architecture and civil engineer for about five years, moved to a photography school, and then managed camera shop, and along with Shimizu Tanahashi and Toru Kono, founder member of Spiegel Photographer Association Hatsutaro Horiuchi I went to Kamagasaki from Kobe, took a photo with a camera, visited a place in Horiuchi, and hone my photography skills. After “Kagasaki Fireworks”, this book is the 4th work after “Love ripple photo book” and “Living photo book” were announced. A book with the motif of “something unusual subjects” and “Rural Kabuki”, a local performing art of Shodoshima that has continued since the middle of the Edo period. Nakayama, who was also a member of the Japanese Realism Photo Group, has a wonderful straight description that does not run skillfully, and has been finished in a documentary style for the local climate and the daily life of actors.
