American film director and artist, David Lynch's photo book "The Factory Photograph". Born in 1946, studied painting and video production at several art schools, and made his directorial debut with the cult film Eraserhead (1976). There are many representative works, but the 2017 broadcast of the sequel to the popular drama "Twin Peaks" in Japan is still fresh in my memory. In addition to film, he is also active in the art field, and in 2010 received the prestigious “Goslar Kaiserring award for 2010” in the art world. This book was published in conjunction with a photo exhibition held at the Photographers' Gallery in London in 2014, and is a collection of photographs of factories taken in Poland, NY, and Berlin. Composed of photographs taken from the late 1980s to the year 2000, the unique architectural beauty of the factory and the ruined and decayed interior are cut out in solid black-and-white photographs. It may be connected to a world view like a movie, but you can feel the excellent talent as a photographer, such as skillful composition and selection of subjects.
