Yoshihiko Ueda Works 1985-1993 is a photobook by photographer Yoshihiko Ueda (1957-), known as the leading figure in advertising photography in Japan, who has worked on many corporate image visuals. This book is a collection of works published by the now defunct Korinsha Publishing, and is a compilation of Ueda's commercial work up to that point. Starting with "Suntory Royal", which was shot with legendary model Sophie Marie, and "Akio Hirata" by hat designer Akio Hirata, the still life included in DC Card is also very interesting. In addition, at the New York boutique "Ex Jun", he took portraits of great names such as Allen Ginsberg, Andy Warhol, Annie Leibovitz, James Brown, Miles Davis, and Robert Mapplethorpe, and "Rockin'On" includes a portrait of Serge Gainsbourg. Other illustrations included are from Sankai Juku, Seibu, Shiseido, and others, making this a sufficient volume to learn about Ueda's early commercial work.
