Re Nudo, an Italian magazine company, was the first Italian underground counterculture leader since the 1970s. One of its founders was Andrea Valcarenghi, a well-known writer and activist. Like many others, it introduced the mainstream movements of the 1970s, both domestically and internationally, such as Music, Drugs, Free Sexuality, and the Student Movement. It was a tabloid magazine, and the contents were often quite critical. At the same time, in 1971, the company hosted the Youth Festival, which attracted thousands of young people who turned into hippies and sometimes danced naked, in order to provide an environment where like-minded people could gather, shout, and appeal. This book is a photo collection of the festival, which was held for six years from 1971 and ended up being the sixth and final festival. There are almost no live performances, and it is a rare book that captures the strange atmosphere of the excited audience in a uniquely designed book using three different colored papers.
