A photo book of Japanese photographer Masashi Kudo. Kudo is a photography enthusiast born in Iwate prefecture, not a professional photographer. Born in Matsuo Mine, Matsuo Village (currently Hachimantai City) in 1938. After graduating from Matsuo Mine High School, joined Matsuo Mine Co., Ltd. He was born and raised in the "Matsuo Mine". The mine, which once boasted the highest production in the Orient, was affected by the emergence of "recovered sulfur" derived from the oil refining process in addition to increased imports and decreased demand, and in 1969 the company applied for the Corporate Rehabilitation Law. , Kudo lost his job in 1969 as one of the dismissals. However, for the next two years, he made an effort to record the suffering of people who lost their jobs here and the battles with countries and companies in "photographs". This is a valuable book that records in detail not only external environmental factors, but also the loss caused by the overtrading of companies, and the "sakebi" against the governments who have no plans, using photographic plates and texts. It is a collection of records of the death of a worker who kept looking into the finder while sometimes getting angry and sometimes tearing. In 1972, the year after the publication of this book, the Matsuo Mine was completely closed without the voice of Kudo's efforts. With obi. (Recorded in The Japanese Photobook 1912–1990)
