This is a historic photo book that depicts the record of the "Nihon University Struggle" that has been going on since 1968, and was shot and edited by students who were part of the Nihon University Zenkyoto Record Team. The university struggle began with the fraudulent accounting of the Nihon University authorities, and the oppression that even involved the government and police, and even involved unions and parents. Among the university struggles of the 1960s, the "University of Tokyo" and this "Nihon University" became particularly violent. Although the images were taken by unknown amateur photographers, the high quality and excellent layout and design give a sense of the strength of Japanese photography in the 1960s. The following words written in the editor's notes also speak to their spirit and the reason they came to create such wonderful works. "We took as many photos as we could, sometimes with clubs in hand and sometimes with cameras in hand. We are not afraid of imperfection. We understand that it is precisely because it is imperfect that it is so fun and beautiful." (Included in The Japanese Photobook 1912–1990)
