"Beirut" is a photo book of French female photographer Sophie Lister Ubel. Listel Ubel, who majored in literature at the Sorbonne University and worked for a publishing company for Visual Arts after graduating. In 1980, he directed the film for Magnum Photos photographer Raymond Depardon's early masterpiece "San Clemente," after which Listel Eubel began taking photographs himself. Covered conflicts in the Middle East such as Iraq, Lebanon and Kuwait. However, she tried a unique approach focusing on "scars" and "traces", which was different from the news photographs by general photojournalist, and was serialized in "Books on Books" in 1992. We are pleased to announce "Fait / Aftermath Kuwait", one of the best masterpieces in the history of photography. This book is composed of illustrations of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, after the civil war in the 1980s. An early masterpiece of Listel Ubel, where the size of the "scars" of the war tells everything and leads to the later "Fait".
