"Hysteric Twelve" is a photobook by Japanese photographer Masahisa Fukase. Through familiar subjects such as his wife, father, family, cats, and crows, Masahisa Fukase has spent his life contemplating himself as a "human being" and a "photographer." After graduating from the College of Art at Nihon University, he started with commercial work, and after working for Daiichi Advertising Agency and Kawade Shobo, he became a freelancer. From then on, as if to confirm the meaning of "himself" and "taking photographs," he began to turn his lens on himself, his family, and those around him, and subsequently published his representative works such as "Yoko (wife at the time)," "Sasuke (cat)," "Crow (raven)," and "Memories of my father (father)." In 1992, he suffered a severe disability in an unfortunate accident, and his activities as a photographer were suspended thereafter, so his actual period of activity was just over 30 years, but he continues to receive tremendous support worldwide. This book is the 12th in a photobook series published by the collection brand "Hysteric Glamour," and consists of street snaps originally published in the early 1980s under the title "Walking Eyes." It is a collection of works that allows you to appreciate Fukase's exceptional sensibility and aesthetic sense, which is different from his works such as "Cats" and "Crows." Limited to 700 copies. Each copy is numbered.
