Daido Slide (Left) is a collection of works by Daido Moriyama, one of Japan's leading photographers. While Moriyama's name is now known worldwide, it wasn't until the 21st century that he began to gain attention overseas; until then, he was known only to photography enthusiasts. His international expansion began with the 1999 exhibition "Stray Dog," curated by Sandra Phillips at the San Francisco Museum of Art (Sandra later became the museum's honorary curator of photography).
