Japanese photographer Sawatari Saku's "Girl Alice / Alice (Fourth Edition, With OBI)" is a collection of photographs by Sawatari Saku. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art's Department of Photography, he worked as an assistant to Takanashi Yutaka before going freelance. He subsequently worked as a fashion photographer for numerous renowned magazines, and made a name for himself in the 1970s with his innocent, beautiful, and sometimes fantastical portraits of girls and women, including "Dollhouse in the Forest," "Nadia," and "The Girl from the Sea." Since the 1980s, Sawatari has remained at the forefront of his work, primarily focusing on artists and idols. This commemorative book marks his first photo book. Based on Alice in Wonderland, the collection features a 10-year-old girl named Samantha, who was selected through an audition held in Alice's hometown of England. All photographs were taken in England. The book features an all-star cast, including planning and editing by Shigeo Kuwahara, book design by Seiichi Horiuchi, prologue by Shuzo Takiguchi, and poetry by Shuntaro Tanikawa. A special edition featuring previously unpublished works has also been released in recent years. This is the third printing and includes a dust jacket.
