"Black and White Photographs" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Ijima Kaoru (1954-). During the height of the bubble economy in the 1980s, Ijima Kaoru was active in the fashion and commercial worlds, and made a name for himself with his portraits and cover photos of many famous artists. He also served as editor-in-chief of the subculture fashion magazine "Jap," published by the now-defunct Korinsha Publishing. This is the sixth issue of the "Edge to Edge Series," a collection of works also published by Korinsha, and is a collection of black and white images (the seventh issue is also Ijima's photo collection, "Color Photographs"). Karen Kirishima, Arisa Mizuki, Hitomi Kuroki, and others appear.
