Daido Moriyama Vintage Prints is a photobook by one of Japan's leading photographers. Daido Moriyama has been active at the forefront since the 1960s, and is one of the most iconic figures in postwar Japanese photography along with Nobuyoshi Araki. Starting with his debut work Japan, A Photo Theatre published in 1968, he has collaborated on Provoke, and has produced many masterpieces, including Farewell, Photography (1972), A Hunter (1972), Light & Shadow (1982), Journey to Nakaji (1987) in the 1980s, and Hysterics in the 1990s. This large-format, tabloid-style photobook was published in 2004 in conjunction with the Vintage Prints exhibition at the Michael Hoppen Gallery in London, with a limited run of 800 copies. The preface includes a tribute from master William Klein.
