"Meanwhile Across the Mountain" is a photo collection by Swedish photographer Jens Olof Lasthein. Lasthein grew up in Denmark and studied at the Nordic Photo School in Stockholm from 1989 to 1992. While working as a freelance photographer for magazines and newspapers, he has also been working on personal projects for a long time, and has released a documentary of the former Yugoslavia, the masterpiece "Moments In Between," also introduced in "The Photobook: A History," "White Sea Black Sea," set in the border area between the east and west of Europe, and "Home Among Black Hills," set in the immigrant inflow area of Belgium. This work is a documentary with the motif of the "Caucasus," a place where Russia and Asia intersect, Christianity and Islam mix, countless nationalities, languages and cultures coexist, and where unresolved conflicts continue to exist.
