"Time of Nothing" is a collection of works by Jim Mangan, an American photographer and film director. Born in Illinois, he has had a passion for snowboarding and mountains since his student days, and has spent a quarter century in Colorado and Utah, examining the changing landscape of the American West from a unique perspective. This work is a collection of abstract landscapes photographed on the Great Salt Lake in Utah, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere. The images, taken from a Cessna and taken from the air on 35mm film, are depicted with unique textures and coloring, as if they were from an unreal world, and give a sense of the passage of time, the transience of existence, and even the sublimity of nature. This is a collection of works that is typical of Jim Mangan, with a simple yet powerful storyline that strongly shakes the emotions of those who see it. Limited to 600 copies.
