Our Own Selves is a collection of works by London-born photographer Nadine Ijewere (1992-), whose parents are Nigerian-Jamaican. Ijewere, who was 26 years old at the time, attracted attention as the first black photographer to appear on the cover of the 125-year-old fashion magazine British edition of Vogue, and has since been responsible for the image visuals of prestigious maison brands such as Stella McCartney, Dior, Hermes, and Valentino. Without working as an assistant to a photographer, Ijewere continued to take photos while working at an interior design company, and published her works through social media, etc. Her style, which led to commercials, is also modern. She is an artist who continues to create new works from various images and perspectives, seeking "diversity" rather than creating "representative works". This book is the first monogram published in 2021. The models are selected by her own criteria, and the unique illustrations shine with her own originality in the coloring. (Cover is dirty)
