Circumambulation is a collection of works by British photographer Adam Fuss (1961-). He was born to a father who manufactured women's coats and a mother who was a fashion model, but his father passed away when he was a child. He then spent time in his mother's hometown of Australia and started his career as an apprentice photographer. After turning 20, he moved to New York, where he gained experience working part-time jobs and began producing pinhole works in the mid-1980s. Many of his works feature unusual subjects, such as rabbit innards, human skulls, water droplets, snakes, and sunflowers. This time, he presented a daguerreotype portrait of the flowers (lilies, roses, tulips, poppies, etc.) carved into the transoms (dad rails) of the Taj Mahal in India. The flowers, printed on special mirror silver paper, are poetic works that discuss themes such as "love," "death," and even "eternity," in reference to the fact that the Taj Mahal was built for his beloved wife.
