"Shikawatari (Third Printing)" is a photo book by Japanese female photographer Chieko Shiraishi. Born in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Shiraishi has been active as a photographer since the 2000s. She has held exhibitions at Gallery Kaido by Koji Onaka and Gallery Tosei by Toseisha, and has recently held a solo exhibition in Paris, France. She is an artist who is expected to be even more active in the future. Her published collections so far include "Cactus and Tail" (2008) and her masterpiece "Island Shadow," published in 2015 and reprinted in 2020, and this book is the third book (however, a private edition of the same title was published in 2019 with a limited run of 100 copies). The setting is the winter of Eastern Hokkaido. In the pure white snowy landscape, you can see Ezo deer running in groups, and whooper swans flying in the sky on the air currents of the cape. This is a lyrical record of everyday life woven together by nature, animals, and the photographer. Published in 2021, third printing.
