A photo collection by Japanese photographer Shozo Watari, "Personal View / Range of Gaze (Signed)". Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture in 1935, Watari was a baseball player who aimed to go to Koshien as a star pitcher in high school baseball. After graduating, he started taking photos while working at the railway bureau. Then, around 1960, he suddenly visited the area with his own works, and Ueda Shoji, a photographer representing the area, visited him. Since then, he has looked up to Ueda Shoji as his mentor, and is an amateur photographer with a history of exhibiting his works in famous contests such as the Nikaten Exhibition and winning many awards. This book is his first book, published in 1999. It is composed of black and white snapshots selected under the theme of "a gaze on one's surroundings", excluding works that have been submitted to contests. Although it has a certain Ueda Shoji taste, Watari's unique strength and unique perspective shine through in his wonderful works, and your eyes will be glued to them. Work that won the 9th Tadahiko Hayashi Award. Obi missing. Signed by the photographer .
