Japanese photographer Takeji Iwamiya's photo book "Impressions of Japan". Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, Takeji Iwamiya has a unique career as a former Nankai Hawks professional baseball player. After leaving the group due to poor physical condition, he became interested in photography, and after joining the Tampei Photo Club at the age of 24, he studied photography with Nakaji Yasui and others. Opened a photographer in Kobe at the age of 26, and has been active as a freelancer since the mid-1960s. He is a photographer who also made an effort to introduce. Iwamiya's masterpiece is the "Katachi-" series, which depicts the functional and traditional beauty of Japan. Traditional beauty of Japanese "things" such as the beauty of history, the beauty of function, the beauty of shape (modeling), and the beauty of color through buildings such as shrines and temples and living tools such as kimono. I continued to portray the beauty. This book is a collection of works published as a gift of Bayer Yakuhin, Ltd. in Osaka in 1965. Focusing on the works introduced in "Shape", 48 illustrations are included, from temples in Nara and Kyoto to living tools such as cushions, sandals, musical instruments, and tatami mats.
