A Greek Portfolio is a collection of works by American photographer Konstantin Manos. Born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1934 to Greek immigrant parents, Manos began photography at the age of 13, studied English literature at a local university, and began his professional career as the official photographer for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. After military service, he moved to New York and worked for magazines such as Esquire, LIFE, and Look. In the 1960s, he became a member of Magnum Photos, and this first book is composed of images taken during a few years of living in Greece. The people, landscapes, lifestyle, and culture captured in his parents' hometown... A series of excellent black-and-white images.
