Annie Leibovitz 1995 is a collection of works by American female photographer Annie Leibovitz (1949-). While studying at the University of the Arts in San Francisco, she brought her own work to the magazine Rolling Stone, where editor-in-chief Jann Wenner saw her work and immediately took her to New York. Her interview photos of John Lennon were recognized, and she became a member of the magazine in 1970 and its chief photographer in 1973. Lennon was assassinated a few hours after photographing Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1980, and the image she took at that time was used on the cover of the magazine and became a memorial issue for Lennon. This book is a catalog published in 1995 at the opportunity of an exhibition in Japan that toured from the Mitsukoshi Museum of Art in Tokyo to Sendai, Yokohama, and Osaka, and contains many portraits of famous people and celebrities from various fields.
