"Meanwhile Across the Mountain" is a photo collection by Swedish photographer Jens Olof Lasthein. Lasthein grew up in Denmark and studied at the Nordic Photo School in Stockholm from 1989 to 1992. While working as a freelance photographer for magazines and newspapers, he has also been working on personal projects for a long time, and has released a documentary of the former Yugoslavia, the masterpiece "Moments In Between," also introduced in "The Photobook: A History," "White Sea Black Sea," set in the border area between east and west Europe, and "Home Among Black Hills," set in the immigrant inflow area of Belgium. This work is a documentary with the motif of the "Caucasus," a place where Russia and Asia intersect, Christianity and Islam mix, countless nationalities, languages and cultures coexist, and where unresolved conflicts continue to exist.
