Dulce Sudor Amargo is a photo collection by Brazilian photographer Miguel Rio Branco. In Japan, Branco was also the subject of a photo exhibition with photographer Daido Moriyama entitled "Resonating Quiet Gaze" in 2008 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil. During his childhood, he spent his time moving abroad due to his father's work, and moved from Switzerland, a country where everything was protected and well-organized, to Brazil, an unexplored and dramatic country, where Branco's style was established. Human instincts and vitality seen in sometimes chaotic, crazy, miserable and ugly things. Branco's works, which find the essence and beauty of humanity in such contradictions and chaos, are expressed with a unique perspective on the subject and vivid colors unique to South America, and have a shocking and sensual atmosphere that is not found in Western photographers. This book is a collection of images taken in Salvador da Bahia, the third largest city in Brazil. It is a collection of images unique to South America that capture the historical aspect (front) of being strongly influenced by African culture, and the cultural and sensual aspects (back).
