Danish photographer Ulric Ross's photo book "Retiradekunst / Lavatory Art". Ross started his career as an exclusive photographer for a Dutch newspaper. Inspired by the drawings of the great Danish painter, sculptor and ceramist Asger Jorn, Ross then stays in Africa for a long time. As a result, Ross published a collection of African folk art works in 1966. After returning to Japan, Ross, who shot various art works in the Netherlands, published a unique collection of works in 1968. As the title suggests, it is composed of illustrations depicting graffiti on the toilet. Toilet graffiti that many would have seen once in the city or in the park. A number of texts and illustrations that express the feelings and desires of a lover sexually and sometimes erotically. .. Like the great French photographer Brassaï, the artistic territory "Graffiti Art" is reached by photographers who have been inspired by numerous arts. Among them, an unknown masterpiece by the heretic Ulric Ross, who noticed the toilet, a place where everyone wants to close his eyes.
