Allen Jones is one of the leading artists of British pop art in the 1960s. He is known for his works that feature women's legs and lower bodies as motifs, as well as his works that use mannequins in bondage as furniture. During his time at the Royal College of Art, he was in the same class as Kitai and Peter Phillips, who are also representatives of the British pop art scene. This book, ``Allen Jones Exhibition,'' was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Seibu Ikebukuro store in 1974, and features works from the 1960s and 70s, ranging from oil paintings to three-dimensional works, lithographs, and posters. It also includes interviews with the artist himself at his atelier. ``What distinguishes Jones from other pop artists, especially American ones, is the quality of his images, and eroticism is the perfect catalyst for this play.'' (Art critic) (From the commentary on this book by Jun Miyagawa).
