Fernweh (Signed) is a collection of works by Teju Cole, an American-based writer, art historian, and photographer. An American of Nigerian descent, he spent his childhood in Nigeria, but returned to the United States for college. He entered the University of Michigan Medical School with the intention of pursuing his original career in medicine, but dropped out.Afterwards, he studied African art history at a university in London to study art history, and then transferred to Columbia University. Cole's name became famous for his novel ``Open City,'' about a psychiatrist working in Manhattan, which won the Hemingway Award and became popular in Japan. And this is a "photo collection". Cole is very intelligent and creative, and is composed of images he took while spending several years in Switzerland in the 2010s. Although the illustrations are devoid of people, you can feel the traces of people in them, and the experimental fieldwork reminiscent of early Luigi Ghirri is also a must-see, creating a series of very beautiful works.
