"Die Stadt der Frauen" (English translation: City of Women) is a collection of works by Czech photographer Miroslav Tichy (1926-2011). An outsider who continued to photograph women in the city by making his own cameras from tubes, tin cans, and scrap materials. He originally studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts and worked as a painter under the communist state, but after that he put down his brushes and began taking photographs and painting again, working as an artist. Although it seems that he took photographs as a hobby rather than as a work of art, Tichy suddenly gained attention after he caught the attention of a famous curator in the 2000s and was introduced to him. Because the photographs were taken with an unconventional camera, the illustrations may have scratches or not be photographed properly, but this was accepted as an outsider's "individuality," and many publications were subsequently published. It has come to be. This work is a collection of works published posthumously and consists of illustrations that focus on "urban women."
