Japanese photographer Risaku Suzuki's photo book ``Torii (Signed)''. Risaku Suzuki began creating works using photography as a medium in the late 1980s. In 1998, he published his first photo book, ``KUMANO,'' which was about visualizing geographic movement and temporal transition from Tokyo to Kumano and then to his hometown of Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. In this book released the following year, Kimura Ihei Award-winning photography. His solo exhibition ``Kumano, Snow, Cherry Blossoms'' was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in 2007, and ``Risaku Suzuki Photo Exhibition: Stream of Consciousness'' was held at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery in 2015, representing modern Japan. He is internationally acclaimed as a photographer. This book is a collection of works with the motif of "Torii" as the title suggests. "A torii gate is represented as an entrance to a barrier in Shintoism. Sanctuary areas in Shintoism, which originate from fear of nature, exist all over Japan. However, a different kind of time passes behind the torii gate. Without it, the door would disappear. That was the feeling that led me to take the photo.'' (From the afterword) Signed by the photographer .
