Japanese photographer Michio Yamauchi's photo book "Calcutta (Signed)". Michio Yamauchi is a 'direct descendant of Daido' who studied under Daido Moriyama. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1950. After graduating from Waseda University, worked as a journalist, etc., entered the current Tokyo Visual Arts at the age of 29, and then participated in the legendary 'Image Shop CAMP' by Keizo Kitajima and others. While presenting photographs in galleries and solo exhibitions, he gradually began to focus on producing photo books. So far, he has released works set not only in Tokyo but also in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries, and has won numerous awards such as the Ken Domon Award, the Tadahiko Hayashi Award, and the Nobuo Ina Award. This book is a collection of photographs published by Sokyusha in 2003, consisting of snapshots taken in Calcutta (now Kolkata), India. The layout with some colors is also a beautiful book.
