"Paris" is a photo book by William Eggleston, a photographer representing contemporary America. Egleston is one of the people who portrayed Robert Frank's private American landscape in color in a rural town and formed the foundation of so-called "new color" photography. As is well known, he is a photographer who has a close relationship with Luigi Ghirri. This book is a collection of works published at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris from spring to summer 2009, and includes color plates taken here as well as rare paintings. Created in different seasons for nearly three years, these are a mysterious charm that is different from Paris captured by Parisian artists such as Bresson and Brassai.
