"The Photography of Yasuhiro Ishimoto", a photo book by Japanese photographer Yasuhiro Ishimoto. Born in San Francisco in 1921, spent 1924 to 1939 in Kochi and traveled alone to the United States. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at Northwestern University in Chicago, he graduated from the Photography Department of the Institute of Design (commonly known as New Bowhouse, merged with the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1949). After returning to Japan, he stayed in Chicago from 1958 to 1961, and published a photo book "Chicago, Chicago" in 1969, which is a collection of photographs taken during his two stays during his student days and after graduation, and is still in Japan. It is highly regarded as a masterpiece in the history of photography. This book is a collection of catalog works published in 2012 when Ishimoto died, taking the opportunity of an exhibition that toured museums in Ehime, Aichi, and Nagasaki. Original prints taken from around 1950 to the 2000s were introduced, focusing on representative works such as "Chicago," "Tokyo," "Katsura Imperial Villa," "Ise Jingu," "Shibuya, Shibuya," which are owned by the Museum of Art, Kochi.
