This is a collection of works published by Seibundo Shinkosha in 1981, "Color Encyclopaedia of Succulents". A succulent plant that is becoming more popular due to the influence of the recent horticultural boom. Many of them have roots in the African continent, so they were treated as extremely rare and expensive rare plants before the war, but since the 1960s, many have been imported to Japan through traders in Western countries. In addition, Japanese people with advanced horticultural skills have succeeded in cultivating and breeding a wide variety of plants, and many beautiful plants that cannot be seen in the place of origin have been born. In this book, we have selected and introduced the representative plants of each variety, focusing on those that are extremely rare and have high value as ornamental plants.
