This book is a catalog of the movie "Give Me to Children / Streetwise" (original title produced in 1983), which was screened in Japan in 1986. A documentary about nine teenagers (street children) living in a small park-sized place in Seattle, pimping, prostitution, burglary, beggars, squirrels, and drug traffickers. American female photographer Mary Ellen Mark interviewed in 1983 and posted a photo entitled "Streets of the Lost" in "LIFE", which caused a great response. Mary, who wanted to convey it through the movie, revisited Seattle with her husband, film director Martin Bell, and after establishing a relationship of trust with the children, this work was completed by interviewing again. Marie later compiled this document as a photobook "Streetwise", which is now regarded as one of the masterpieces of art photobooks.
