A collection of works by Japanese photographer Chotoku Tanaka "CT74". Born in Tokyo in 1947, he has published his works in camera magazines since he was enrolled in the Department of Photography, Nihon University College of Art. In 1969, he was the youngest at the time to hold a solo exhibition at the Nikon Salon. After graduating, he got a job at the Hanagata Nippon Design Center, but after a few years he retired and became freelance, after which he moved to Vienna. During the Vienna era, many photographers participated in the "Neue Fotografie Aus Japan", a tour of 10 European cities. In the early 1980s, he stayed in New York and was trained at MoMA as an artist dispatched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Since then, he has returned to Japan to hold numerous solo exhibitions, and has continued to publish many criticisms about cameras such as Leica, making him a popular photographer for camera fans. This book is a sequel to the photo book "CT70" that was specially distributed to the participants at the celebration of Chotoku Tanaka's Kouki in 2017, and was published in 2021 in a limited edition of 74 copies. It is composed of black and white shot in Vienna in the latter half of the 70's, and it is a valuable book for Chotoku fans who are very unpublished works.
