This is the final issue of the visual magazine "Six," which was published in eight issues between 1988 and 1991. It was published by Comme des Garcon, a collection brand that Japan is proud of around the world. It was edited by Atsuko Kosashi, who was Kawakubo's colleague when she was working at Asahi Kasei and continued to act as Kawakubo's brains afterwards. The art director was her sworn friend Tsuguya Inoue. "Six" means "sixth sense," and the visuals were a representation of Kawakubo's vision to appeal to something invisible beyond the five senses and to communicate through a means other than clothing. Issue 8 features images shot by Novarro, Brian Griffin, Dennis Hopper (the famous Andy Warhol portrait with a rose), Jeannette Montgomery Barron, Javier Vallhonrat, Edward Weston, Peter Lindbergh, Alessandro Mendini, and Juergen Teller (including an early shot of model Anna Pawlowski). Dennis Hopper appears as a model as well as a photographer. (There is a missing page.)
