A collection of works by Japanese photographer Hirokazu Ishida "Photo Album Akka Buraku". While attending Tokyo Polytechnic University (currently Tokyo Polytechnic University), he met Shigeichi Nagano, a leading photojournalist, by going in and out of the editorial department of "Camera Mainichi". After a year of assistant life, became freelance at the age of 22. After that, "Balamon and Janta -India-" (1971), which was shot in India in the latter half of the 1960s, was used as the first book, and this book was published in 1973 by the same publisher as the previous work, such as "Quarterly Photographs". A second book published by "Photo Review" led by Shinya Yoshimura, who was also the publisher. A book composed of illustrations taken in the mountain village "Akka Motomura" in Iwate Prefecture, which was visited between 1963 and nearly 10 years. Located at the northernmost tip of the Kitakami Mountains, it is a small settlement that was once called "Tibet in Japan". It is a documentary by Ishida who built a relationship of trust while living with people who live on their own in a remote area where electricity and buses did not pass in 1963.
